"The Chaotic Obsession"
Kimiko Whitted, a Los Angeles native, youngest of six girls was born to an African American war veteran
and Japanese mother.
At an early age, she began altering her hand-me-downs, catching the eyes of many. Her gift was apparent
and led her to design original pieces. As a blossoming teenager Kimiko was whisked into the world of modeling where her eye
for fashion was cultivated. The runway could not hold her.
Wanting to validate her career, Kimiko went to Brooks College to sutdy Fashion Design and Merchandising
and took from there a wealth of knowledge that allowed her to infuse the multi-ethnic heritage into her clothing. She continued
designing and marketing her designs in her very own fashion shows throughout the city of Los Angeles and eventually a small
show in Yokohama, Japan.
Kimiko's Designs specialize in women's business, casual, & evening wear giving each design its own personality
and style.
